About the job

We are looking for a Technical Services Engineer with Linux, Scripting and Design skills to join the Technical Services team.

As a Technical Services Engineer you will play a key role in the lifecycle of the platforms from inception to deployment which may include capacity management, forecasting, budgetary negotiation and stability planning, liaising with vendors, as well as working closely with other teams and departments within Plusnet.

As a Linux Engineer you will...

  • Be responsible for the deployment and support of projects/operational tasks. You will provide technical support, resolving escalated technical issues within their own work area under guidance and support
  • Provide support to other engineering functions with regards to ongoing projects.
  • Possibly lead on the delivery of specific components of a project
  • Provide support on projects, carrying out elements of the research, analysis and/or delivery
  • Ensure all delivered solutions are agreed with the Technical Services Support team and that any relevant Service Owner or delegate has been involved at the design stage
