About the job
The purpose of this role is to define the end-to-end vision and strategy for delivery at Plusnet and then lead a team to achieve against this through the definition, delivery and acceptance into service of both the core BAU and step change programmes that underpin the Plusnet strategy. The role holder will sit on the Plusnet Leadership team and report to the Plusnet CEO holding responsibilities to BT Consumer and the wider BT Group LOBs where Plusnet delivery programme requires interworking with these units.
As a Director of Delivery you will...
The Director of Delivery will act as the key interface between the technical and business teams in Plusnet and will be responsible for:
Setting vision and strategy by working closely with the Plusnet leadership team and CEO in the clear articulation of the 3-5 year roadmap that achieves Plusnets strategy and then manage tightly through an annual plan cycle
Delivering step change transformation programmes through working with key stakeholders on the critical planning assumptions, identification of key transformation programmes and taking early delivery ownership of major transformation programmes
Creating brilliant business requirements - act as the pivot/translation point between the customer facing teams and the technology and operational teams ensuring acceptance of clear and timely business requirements
Delivering programmes on time, to budget and to quality - ensure key programmes in c2m process are delivered to agreed time, budget and quality parameters
Leadership - living and promoting Plusnet values, behaviours and strategy, creating a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
In order to apply you must have the following skills, experience and outlook...
-A deep understanding of and subsequently collaborate, challenge and refine the needs of the market and customer facing units to deliver the optimal outcome for the end customer and the business
-To develop a full understanding of the technology strategy and underpinning systems of Plusnet working early with the technology teams to identify the ‘art of the technically possible’ that maximises the customer experience and project outcome
-A collaborative way of working with key stakeholders to bring ‘tough choices’ to a head quickly to give a clear rolling 18-24 month delivery plan that the business is aligned behind as well as challenging the business on the sufficiency of the 3 year roadmap that underpins the strategy
-The delivery and programme management skills that allow the resources of Plusnet to achieve more than they believe is possible
